Brand logos to appear in Google search results

Google's annual I/O conference in San Francisco has revealed a host of exciting new features - but designers will be delighted at the announcement that company logos will now feature in Google's search results.

Continuing to emphasise authority from genuine and trustworthy authors on Google+, company logos and insignia will soon appear to the right of listed results.

With 100 billion queries processed every month, company branding takes on a major new impetus for designers, seeing their creations featured more prominently than before to millions of users.

Incorporating images into results - dubbed "Organisation Markup" by Larry Page and friends - is thought to improve click-through rates as well as boost certain factors of SEO.
With logos taking greater precedent on what is often the first point-of-contact for businesses, the value of a good design has never been more important - as is hiring a quality designer!

You can find hundreds of designers ready for work on creativesrsus.com - the UK's leading freelance database.
